Our Commitment to the Community
At Maynard & Harris, Attorneys at Law, PLLC, we believe very strongly in community service. Our attorneys are involved in legal organizations that give back to the community, including the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Association of Justice (formerly known as the American Trial Lawyers Association), the North Carolina Bar Association, the Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group, and several women's law groups and legal aid organizations.
Outside of handling cases, Douglas Maynard and Celeste Harris are in-demand as speakers, and have led many seminars on the subjects of insurance law, workers' compensation law and the use of medical records in personal injury matters. Our attorneys use their legal experience to advise nonprofit agencies and sit on community boards including Legal Aid of North Carolina, a local school PTA board and Piedmont Wind Symphony.
Doug Maynard and Celeste Harris are also actively involved in the Forsyth County Community. Both Doug and Celeste have children who are actively involved in sports. Doug Maynard coaches youth Optimist soccer and plays soccer in an adult league. He serves as a Board member for the Wind Symphony.
Celeste Harris participates in youth Mock trial competitions and supports her daughter's soccer team and Girl Scout Troop by serving as a treasurer. She volunteers to help her son's wrestling and track teams. She regularly donates platelets for the American Red Cross and is a Lector at her church.
